Titanic widow last days in Belfast
As the world commemmorates 100 years since the sinking of the Titanic, a South Belfast house has been verified as the last resting place of the widow of the man who designed it.
The two-story house in Adelaide Park was where Mrs Helen Andrews spent her final days, after a death certificate confirmed the date, place and cause of the Belfast woman's death.
Helen Andrews, nee Barbour, was 21 when she married the Titanic architect Andrews in 1908 and when he died a hero on the Titanic, following reports he helped many others to lifeboats, Mrs Andrews raised their only daughter Elba in their Windsor Avenue home.
She remarried and went on to have four more children and lived a long time in England but following her second husband's death, she returned to Belfast where she died of a heart condition.
