Coca Cola rejects Labour Court recommendation
Wednesday, 30 September 2009
SIPTU claims Coca Cola management has rejected a Labour Court recommendation aimed at ending a six-week dispute at the company's Irish operation.
The court has recommended that the firm should offer a redundancy package in line with previous deals.
It has also called on both sides to conduct a feasibility study to see if any of the jobs at the Ballycoolin plant in Dublin can be retained.
Around 130 workers have been on strike for several weeks over the company's plan to outsource their jobs in its transport division.
