Finance Minister promises to tackle inflation in next Budget

He has said a series of interest rate increases has undoubtedly had an effect on inflation here and that the government will continue to do what it can to curb rising costs.
New figures from the Central Statistics Office put inflation at 4.9%.
The Minister pointed out that over half of Ireland's inflation is externally generated through oil prices and interest rates.
The T€naiste has promised that the government will continue to try and give the public value for money.
