50 Cent: I don't think I'll retire
Friday, 19 March 2010
The three-time Mobo-winning rapper has expanded into writing for films, acting, fashion and property, but insisted he'll continue being a music mogul.
"I don't think I'll retire - I think you should look forward to me going behind the scenes more, I still have passion for music," he told The Independent.
"The music business itself has changed. If you can't figure out how to develop the brand extension and opportunities that allow you to build up the marketing dollar, I don't see how you can continue to be a superstar."
Since appearing in 2007's Home Of The Brave, Fiddy - whose real name is Curtis Jackson - has had roles in Righteous Kill with Robert De Niro and Dead Man Running, and set up his own film company.
"For me, it's an opportunity. I've created two other projects: Gun with myself, Val Kilmer... and I wrote and produced a film called Love Me, Love Me Not, so I'm looking forward to a lot of different things."
