Rose McGowan has signed up for a role in Conan

Rose McGowan has signed up to star as a femme fatale in Conan.

The Black Dahlia star and ex-girlfriend of Marilyn Manson will play an evil half-human, half-witch in the new movie adaptation of Conan The Barbarian, Variety reports.

Jason Momoa stars as Conan, opposite Rachel Nichols as love interest Tamara in the film, directed by Marcus Nispel.

GI Joe's Said Taghmaoui plays the leader of a gang of thieves who is saved by Conan and later offers him aid, while Stephen Lang, who was the evil military man in Avatar, has been cast as the main villain of the movie.

He will play a ruler in search of a queen whose blood will bring life to the demonic minions of a long-lost god.

Mickey Rourke was apparently in talks to play Conan's father Corin, but Ron Perlman has now been cast in the role.

Shooting on the film began on Monday in Bulgaria, and the movie is expected to be released in 2011.

Gritty, moving and heroic...Billy plays captured life here

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ... Sunday's 30th anniversary screening of the seminal Too Late to Talk to Billy was riveting viewing. But it wasn't nostalgic viewing.

Scary movie? Their jaws were sore from laughing

Teenage boys love horror films and I have two who are in charge of the remote control in our house, so naturally there’s gore-a-plenty on the box most weekends. However, until recently one film was banned.
