Monday, 12 March 2007

A heroin addict who was overheard by an off-duty garda discussing a robbery he had just carried out with two other men, has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

21 year old James Farrelly of St Anthony's Road, Rialto, Dublin, was later stopped by Gardai, and handed over a samurai sword he'd been hiding in his jeans.

The three raiders who robbed a pharmacy in Bluebell, were all armed with swords, when they got away with four hundred euro and a variety of prescription drugs on April 14th 2005.
