Stag hunts have been halted for the remainder of the season.
A few weeks ago, there was fury after a stag was chased through a schoolyard in Kildalkey, Co Meath.
The Campaign for the Abolition of Cruel Sports is welcoming the stopping of the stag hunts, saying the development is a milestone to getting them banned completely.
