Niger national due before Court on alleged rape charges

A man from Niger who was arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 26-year-woman last year is due in court today.
The 37-year-old was arrested in Dublin on Thursday, and will appear before a special sitting of Dublin District Court later this morning.
A second man from Nigeria also remains in custody at Pearse Street Garda Station in connection with same incident.
He can be held for up to 72 hours without charge.
