Trump advisor examines sites for €1bn golf course
Friday, 25 January 2008
A senior employee of US property billionaire Donald Trump is visiting the North today to examine sites for a possible €1bn golf course and luxury hotel.
Mr Trump's head of international development is expected to look at four different sites.
The American billionaire had originally hoped to build a golf course in Scotland that he said would be the finest in the world.
However, Aberdeenshire Council rejected his initially planning application, forcing him to consider other locations.
Mr Trump, who held talks with First Minister Ian Paisley in New York last month, denies that he is trying to play the North off against Scotland.
