The regulator of premium-rate telecommunications services has announced new measures aimed at improving consumer protection.
Regtel is reducing the maximum spending limits on chat and dating services from €60 to €40, while the limit for live services is being reduced from €90 to €60.
A price warning must be given when the cost hits €20 and €30 euro respectively.
Telephone-based psychic, tarot, and horoscope services will also have to state clearly that they are for entertainment purposes only.
