Two arrested over Tipperary assault

Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault on a woman in Co. Tipperary.

It is alleged that the woman, in her twenties, was attacked in the early hours of St Patrick's Day while walking home from a night out. It is alleged that she was offered a lift home by three men and assaulted by one of them.

Two men, aged 22 and 23, were arrested and questioned about the incident.

One of the men has been charged and is due in court in Cahir on April 28th next.
