Woman in intensive care following Laois house fire

A woman is being treated in the intensive care unit of the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore following a house fire in Co. Laois.

The blaze, which is believed to have started accidentally, broke out at around midnight in the Lough Gate housing estate in Portarlington.

Two other people, who were in the house at the time, were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
