Teenager hit by lightning to be laid to rest today

The Dublin teenager who died after being struck by lightning over the weekend is due to laid to rest today.

Fourteen-year-old Patrick Ryan-Corr was walking to a friend's house in Tallaght on Saturday when a lightning bolt hit him directly in the head.

He died the next day at Tallaght Hospital.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend his funeral mass at 11am in St Thomas Church in Jobstown.

His parents Anna and Gerry, his two sisters and his brother will be among the mourners.
