Gardai make court applications to retain cash seized in Co Limerick raids

Gardai in Limerick have made 12 applications to Limerick District Court this afternoon following a series of raids around the city yesterday.
Officers said the amount of cash seized in raids as part of Operation Platinum is now valued at €250,000.
€230,000 is euro notes, with the remainder in sterling.
The applications were made in court this afternoon under Criminal Justice and Proceeds of Crime legislation to retain the cash.
