Gardai in Limerick have been granted court orders to retain a quarter of a million euro in cash seized in a series of raids targeting organised crime.
Local detectives and members of the Criminal Assets Bureau have told Limerick District Court they believe the money is the proceeds of criminal activity.
The money was seized at eleven properties in Limerick and one in Clare as part of a series of dawn raids yesterday.
