Aer Lingus workers & management reach agreement
Thursday, May 15, 2008
Aer Lingus workers and management have reached agreement on the implementation of the company's cost-cutting plan.
The controversial changes to work practices are to go ahead in most parts of the company, however some issues remain unresolved and the sides are seeking third-party mediation.
The deal, which was brokered between SIPTU shop stewards and airline management today, means that passengers should be able to look forward to a summer without threats of strike action at the former state carrier.
