Crime in North at lowest level in nearly 10 years

Recorded crime in Northern Ireland has dropped to its lowest level in nearly 10 years, according to figures published by the PSNI today.
The total number of recorded crimes fell by more than 12,000 to just under 109,000 in the past year.
Violent crime, robberies and criminal damage were all substantially down during the last 12 months.
However, detection rates were down, dropping to just 20.6%.
