Man critical after Dublin shooting

A man in his twenties is in a critical condition in hospital, after he was shot in Dublin last night.
He was targeted by a lone gunman as he sat in a car in the Darndale area at around seven o'clock.
The victim was sitting in a parked car when he was approached by a lone gunman, who fired several shots through the window.
It is believed that his young son was with him at the time.
The child miraculously escaped injury, but his father was hit in the neck, and was rushed to Beaumont Hospital.
His condition is now described as critical.
