Belfast postal worker escapes kidnapping
Saturday, 5 July 2008
In the North, a postal worker is in shock tonight after two men tried to bundle him into the back of his van.
The PSNI say the attackers approached the Royal Mail employee in south Belfast, at 10am this morning.
The victim sustained a cut to the head.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is helping detectives with their enquiries.
The second man made off across a car park.
He's said to be 6 foot and wearing a high viability orange and blue waterproof jacket.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the area, witnessed the incident, or has any information to contact them.
