Union says government's inaction jeopardises post offices' future
Sunday, 6 July 2008
The Irish Postmasters Union says the government's inaction is jeopardising the service's future.
The General Secretary of the Union, John Kane, says they are ignoring the problem in the hopes that it will go away.
This week several organisations - including St. Vincent De Paul, Age Action Ireland and the Irish Farmers Association - rallied around the union, vowing to support their campaign against more closures.
The groups will work with the union over the coming months, to prepare a report to present to the government after the Dail's summer recess.
