HSE to begin "18 months of organisational change"
Tuesday, 8 July 2008
The Health Service Executive has confirmed it's to begin 18 months of organisational change which will include the appointment of new area directors to oversee the delivery of hospital services.
The HSE claims this will deliver a better deal for patients, clients and staff as well as better value for money.
In a briefing document circulated to staff, the HSE says that while planning will be done at national level, the new area directors will have responsibility for the services locally.
However, it says it has not yet decided how many areas or directors there will be.
