70 new jobs announced for Cavan town

A company that makes transformers for the wind energy market has announced plans to create 70 jobs in Cavan over the next two years.
The positions will be created as part of a €12m investment in the town by Pauwels Trafo Ireland.
Elsewhere, plastics company Wellman International has also unveiled details of a research and development initiative in the Co Cavan town of Mullagh.
The Tanaiste and Enterprise Minister Mary Coughlan says the announcements are good news for the region.
