Insurance costs going down as road safety records improve

Our improving safety record on the roads is pushing down the cost of car insurance - even for young, high-risk male drivers.
However, 40% of young men aged between 18 and 24 still fork out a fortune for motor policies every year.
The Insurance Federation says they are more prone to accidents and penalty points as a result of inexperience and dangerous driving.
Spokesman Mike Kemp has said if they cut out the bad habits and worked on their driving skills it could help their bank balance.
