Tuesday, 30 October 2007
A Northern Ireland pharmaceutical company is to create almost 300 new jobs in Newry.
Norbrook, which makes veterinary pharmaceutical products, has announced plans to invest more than €100m in the Co Down facility.
The company currently employs 1,500 people in Newry and across the border in Monaghan.
The news of the new jobs will be a welcome boost for the North following the announcement that Seagate is to lay off 900 workers at its factory in Limavady, Co Derry.
