Top US executives attend Belfast investment conference

Wednesday, May 07, 2008

Around 100 leading business executives from the US are in Belfast today for a major conference aimed at attracting investment into the North.

Eighty companies will have representatives at the meeting, which is also expected to involve British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the new Taoiseach, Brian Cowen.

The conference aims to promote the benefits of investing in the North following the ending of the Troubles and the establishment of stable power-sharing institutions at Stormont.
