O'Leary considering allowing passengers to stand

Monday, 6 July 2009

Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary has admitted that he is considering allocating space for standing passengers on some flights.

Mr O'Leary says he would like the back few rows of seats ripped out to make way for passengers who are willing to stand on short flights for a cheaper fare.

He says standing passengers are allowed on rail services and he can see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed on planes.
