Call for psychological support for cancer patients

Saturday, 6 September 2008

The Irish Cancer Society has called for better psychological back up for cancer patients.

The society, which organised the inaugural national breast cancer conference in Dublin today, claims that eight designated cancer centres are needed around the country to help patients at all stages.

The society has said it is important for people to be able to talk to others going through the same experiences.
