Drivers urged to heed road safety messages this Christmas
Wednesday, 24 December 2008
Thousands of people will be on the move today as the annual Christmas exodus enters its final hours.
December 24th is traditionally one of the busiest travelling days of the year on the roads and the rail network.
Motorists are being reminded to keep their speed down, ensure everyone wears a seat belt and never drive while under the influence of alcohol.
The Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, has made a special plea for people to pay attention to road safety over the festive period.
