Local stations sweep the board at annual broadcasting awards

Local radio stations have won a host of awards at the annual PPI radio awards ceremony in Dublin.
Radio Kerry scooped the title of Best Local Station of the Year, while newcomer Phantom FM won best music-driven local station.
Clare FM was honoured for the best news story, while Shannonside Northern Sound won best documentary.
DJ KC from Cork's Red FM won music broadcaster of the year, while FM104 was awarded best music programme for The Jam.
The Outstanding Achievement Award went to Des Whelan, the man behind WLR and Beat FM, while 98 FM won a prize for the best on-air competition.
