New Bond movie to be released on October 31st

Wednesday, March 19, 2008

The release date of the next Bond film, Quantum of Solace, has been announced.

The 22nd 007 adventure opens nationwide on October 31st, with a premiere at Leicester Square.

Daniel Craig, 40, returns as Bond and is joined by British newcomer Gemma Arterton, 22.

Quantum of Solace follows Casino Royale, the critical and box office success in which Craig made his Bond debut.

The thriller became the highest-grossing Bond movie of all time, earning more than 290 million worldwide.

In the new film, 007 attempts to uncover the truth behind the organisation which blackmailed Vesper (Eva Green), the lover who betrayed him.

The cryptic-sounding title of the next Bond instalment was announced at a press conference in January.
