Gardai in Co Offaly have released a 32-year-old arrested yesterday following a large seizure of methamphetamine.
Six kilos of the drug were seized in Birr during an operation targeting drug trafficking from Lithuania.
The drugs, believed to be largest-ever methamphetamine seizure in Ireland, were found concealed in two cars that had arrived earlier on a ferry into Dublin.
Eight kilos of herbal cannabis were also discovered during the operation.
Gardai say the haul was worth around €500,000.
