Live Register figures up sharply again last month

The number of people signing on the Live Register has increase sharply again over the past month.
The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show that the total number signing on the dole increased by 15,800 in October.
More than 260,000 are now claiming jobless benefits, an increase of more than 94,000 over the past year.
The standardised unemployment rate in October was 6.7%.
