Man injured in gun attack at house in north Dublin
Tuesday, 13 January 2009
A man is recovering in hospital this morning following the second gun attack in the space of three days in the Finglas area of north Dublin.
The man was shot at a house in the Casement Park area just after 8pm last night.
He is said to be in a stable condition at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
Reports this morning say the victim of the shooting is the father of a 24-year-old man who was also shot and injured in a gun attack at the Cappagh House pub in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Gardai reportedly believe the two shootings are linked to a feud in the area.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident last night, Gardai seized seven firearms and ammunition during a search of waste ground in the Clondalkin area of west Dublin
The guns are believed to have been stolen during a number of burglaries around the country.
