Man stabbed in face with broken bottle in Tralee

A man in his 30s is recovering in hospital in Kerry after being stabbed in the face with a broken bottle in Tralee town centre early this morning.

The incident happened on Denny Street just after 1am.

The victim was taken to Kerry General Hospital, where he is said to be in a comfortable condition.

No arrests have been made, but the scene has been forensically examined and Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
