Labour to table no confidence vote in Health Minister Harney
Saturday, 24 November 2007
The opposition has said it will be tabling its motion of no confidence in the Health Minister this week after the HSE was forced to tell 97 women they need re-assessment for breast cancer.
Up to 70 women have been attending the specialist cancer clinic in Portlaoise today after they were informed that they may have mistakenly been given the all-clear at the Midlands Regional Hospital.
In response, the Labour party is bringing it's no-confidence motion this week which will be supported by Fine Gael.
Labour leader Eamon Gilmore said it is what the people would want.
