Ahern to honour Blair contribution to peace process
Monday, 24 March 2008
The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is to honour Tony Blair for his contribution to peace in the North next month.
Bertie Ahern is to hold a gala dinner for the former British Prime Minister at Dublin Castle.
Funds from the event will go towards a cross-border initiative to tackle depression and suicide.
The Taoiseach said the project was another step to understanding the pain facing many people on this island.
He said he would be privileged to host Tony Blair on the week of the tenth anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement.
