Tuesday, May 13, 2008
Fine Gael has said those unhappy with the state of the health service should not vote against the Lisbon Treaty in protest.
Hospital campaigners in Roscommon have called for a 'no' vote in the upcoming referendum in protest at HSE plans to downgrade services at Roscommon County Hospital.
The local Hospital Action Committee has now asked for support from 23 other local communities unhappy with plans for the health service.
Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has said the Lisbon Treaty is too important for a protest vote and appealed voters to wait until the local elections next year
