Libertas calls on government to heed opinion poll
Sunday, 27 July 2008
Anti-Lisbon group Libertas is calling on The Government to listen to the results of today's opinion poll.
The Red C poll shows that 17 percent of those who voted for the treaty would change to a NO vote if they were faced with a second referendum.
It also shows that more than half of Irish voters would be less likely to vote for the Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, if he called for a second vote on the treaty.
Caroline Simons from Libertas has said that The Government should look at the votes of the people who elected them.
'They really do need to stop wasting their money and concentrate on the fact that the Irish people have said no,' she said.

The fact that the Irish were the only ones allowed to vote on this elite controlling Treaty says something of its self. The elites are sneaky and afraid to allow a vote for the entire 27 nations because the final verdict would not likely work out in their favor. This treaty is about power and control over the people. What's wrong with the Nice Treaty, it appears the elites never have enough control. This is what you call a piece meal approach to a final agenda , an agenda that most know nothing about.
The Irish are the brightest stars in the skies, brilliant absolutely brilliant.

Well done Libertas... the whole of Europe is watching "them" now. Never has the scrutiny been so intense... how difficult it must be, but alas that is the trappings of a functioning democracy...
