Young Irishman drowns while travelling in Laos

An Irishman in his late 20s has drowned while travelling in south-east Asia.
The Co Galway man died in a water accident in Laos on Sunday.
He had been travelling around the world and was due to return to Ireland in a few weeks' time.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it is providing consular assistance to his family.
