Thursday, 4 February 2010
A woman watching the sunset on a webcam who spotted a German man lost on the frozen North Sea probably saved his life by alerting authorities, police have said.
The man was walking on the ice near St Peter-Ording in northern Germany when he became disoriented.
He used a camera to flash for help, gaining the attention of the woman on her computer, hundreds of miles away in southern Germany.
