Westmeath forward Dessie Dolan is hoping to be fit for the county's Leinster Football Championship first-round tie with Longford on Sunday.
The Garrycastle clubman missed most of Westmeath's successful league campaign with a hamstring
injury, but came on as a sub in the win over Dublin in the final.
He is hoping he may be in a position to line out at the start of this weekend's televised clash.
Elsewhere, David Duffy is struggling to make it due to an ankle ligament problem, while fellow midfielder David O'Shaughnessy remains sidelined with a long-term injury.
