Diarmuid Connolly's Dublin future in doubt

Tuesday, 13 January 2009

Diarmuid Connolly's inter-county future with Dublin is in doubt after reports that the St Vincent's star was sent home from the county's Spanish training camp.

The 21-year-old was reportedly sent home from La Manga by manager Pat Gilroy due to a breach of team discipline.

Connolly is one of five players believed to have returned home early, but is the only squad member who is said to have had disciplinary issues.

The St Vincent's forward is a club-mate of Gilroy and the pair played alongside each other during

the side's run to All-Ireland club success last year.
