Clarke moves into second place at Asian Open

Ireland's Darren Clarke has moved up the leaderboard at the Asian Open in Shanghai today.

The Ulsterman carded a second-round 69 to reach the halfway stage on four under par, one shot adrift of current leader Robert-Jan Derksen.

Around half of the field have yet to complete their second rounds.

Peter Lawrie is the next best of the Irish competitors on two over par, with Gary Murphy finishing up today on three over.

Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell were also on the same score after 14 holes and 12 holes respectively today, while Damien McGrane is in danger of missing the cut on four over par after 14 holes.
