Clarke moves to top of Asian Open leaderboard

Darren Clarke has moved top of the BMW Asian Open leaderboard midway through the third round at the Shanghai Pudong Golf Club.

The 2006 Ryder Cup star had started the day one stroke off the top after a three-under-par 69 on Friday.

He continued his good form today with some particularly impressive putting yielding two birdies on a faultless run to reach the turn at two under par.

Clarke then added another birdie on the 10th and was seven under overall, one stroke ahead of Robert-Jan Derksen who had started the day top of the leaderboard alongside Zhang Lian-wei
