Ballesteros stable after fourth brain operation
Wednesday, 3 December 2008
Golfing legend Seve Ballesteros is said to be in a stable condition after undergoing further surgery in Madrid yesterday.
The 51-year-old Spaniard has now undergone four operations since being diagnosed with a brain tumour in October.
He has been moved back into intensive care after the latest procedure to drain fluid from his brain and to repair a bone defect.
Doctors at La Paz Hospital have already warned that his recovery will take a long time.

The words of the great Welsh bard. Dylan Thomas, are appropriate :
"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light"
Seve, you have never faltered in face of a challenge and every true golf fan is with you at present.
