Thursday, 30 July 2009

Argentina's Tano Goya has taken the early lead at the Moravia Silesia Open in the Czech Republic today.

Goya carded a seven-under-par 65 in his opening round to lead by two shots from Francois Delamontagne and Robert-Jan Derksen.

Michael Hoey is best of the Irish competitors on one under par, with Shane Lowry finishing his round on five over par and Gary Murphy on seven over.

Gareth Maybin, Damien McGrane and Peter Lawrie were still on the course at lunchtime.
