McIlroy, McDowell to represent Ireland in China
Wednesday, 22 July 2009
Rory McIlroy has confirmed that he will make his debut at the Mission Hills World Cup this November.
McIlroy has teamed up with fellow Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell to represent Ireland at the event in China.
Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley won the event in 1997.
Meanwhile, McIlroy and Harrington are going head-to-head today in the inaugural Lough Erne Challenge.
The winner of the 18-hole event in Fermanagh will win €1m for charity and €300,000 for himself.

Two Northern Irishmen should be representing Northern Ireland, not a pseudo "Ireland" side.
A reasonable question - Will this "Ireland" side containing two Northern Irishmen be represented with Northern Irish symbols and anthems?
