Monday, 12 February 2007
Colm Murphy's unbeaten hurdler Feathard Lady has been retired due to injury.
The mare created a huge impression in seven races highlighted by victory in the Grade One Christmas Hurdle at Sandown in 2005 - which proved her swansong.
Connections have decided to call time on her promising career after suffering a strained fetlock foot injury ahead of last year's Cheltenham Festival.
Meanwhile, The Listener has been given a clean bill of health on his return from Ireland.
Robert Alner's grey finished a gallant second behind Beef Or Salmon in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Leopardstown on Saturday, having looked set to score until tiring late on.
