Wednesday, 29 July 2009
The prestigious William Hill Galway Plate takes place at Ballybrit today, with 25 runners competing for the €150,000 prize money.
The race is the richest of the Galway festival week.
The British raider Roby de Cimbre has similar characteristics to last year's winner, Oslot, while last year's runner-up, Oodachee is in the field again this year.
Tony Martin's Royal County Star is also among the contenders, along with Willie Mullins' Bothar Na and JP McManus' Cool Running.
