Waterford and Limerick reach All-Ireland semis
Monday, 27 July 2009
The line-up for this year's All-Ireland hurling semi-finals is complete following quarter-final victories yesterday for Waterford and Limerick.
The Deise will go on to play Kilkenny after a thrilling comeback saw them beat Galway by a single point at Semple Stadium.
Despite trailing for most of the game, a late goal from Shane Walsh and a point from John Mullane secured a 1-16 to 0-18 win for Davy Fitzgerald's men.
In the earlier game, Limerick emerged victorious from a hard-fought encounter against Dublin.
They will now go on to play Tipperary following the 2-18 to 1-17 victory in Thurles.
